About Concrete Scanning

Concrete Scanning

Concrete scanning is a non-destructive testing method used to identify and locate embedded objects within concrete structures before drilling, coring, cutting, or demolition activities. Using advanced technologies such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), technicians can locate reinforcing steel (rebar), post-tension cables, conduits, electrical lines, voids, and other subsurface features.

By providing accurate information about what lies beneath the surface, concrete scanning helps prevent costly damage, improves worker safety, and ensures projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with construction requirements.

Common applications include renovations, structural modifications, utility installations, coring, cutting, and quality assurance inspections.
